CO2 Cryo Jet FAQ
What kind of tank do I need? And do they come in different sizes?
You need one of two tanks.
1) A 20,50,75, or 100 pound high pressure siphon tube tank. Make sure the tank has a liquid siphon tube with the pipe that drops to the bottom of the tank to get the liquid C02.
2) A Dewar tank which is a low pressure refrigerated tank.
Where do I buy or rent CO2?
CO2 is available almost anywhere. http://www.Airgas.com is a national chain that provides welding products.
How long will the tanks last?
High pressure has approximately 45-55 seconds of effect with the single cryo jets and approximately 1.25 minutes with the handheld cryo guns. Dewar tanks have approximately 8 times more effect than the 50lb siphon tank. The average blast is 2-3 seconds.
Can it cool down an area?
Yes 25-40% when the effect is running.
How far can you run the CO2 line to the cryo valve?
Best at 20 foot - 30 foot hose.
For ideal performance you should try and keep your hoses as short as possible.
If using a high pressure 50lb siphon tank we recommend staying around the 50-70 feet length.
If using the Dewar tank we recommend as close to 70 feet or less for ideal performance.
Longer hoses can be used but you will notice a second or two purge before the fog blasts out if not fired every 20 - 30 minutes.
Can we order longer hoses?
Yes. We can custom manufacture a hose to a specific size.
How high do the plumes of fog travel?
They are effected by humidity. The more the humidity, the better the white cloud of fog.
Normally at least 20 feet to 30 feet.
In a club atmosphere once there are hundreds of sweaty people dancing the humidity to rise and the effect will appear that much better.
Can you customize the voltage to run on DC?
Yes, we can custom make to almost any voltage.
